Course Details

Request this course for a private group to reduce your training costs and ensure that the first aid training is specific to your particular environment. The minimum number of attendees for a private booking is 12.

Course Covers: This comprehensive first aid course complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. Employers are legally obliged to ensure First Aid provision for their employees and this is the most common qualification used by organisations. This course is designed around practising responses real life scenarios. This qualification is valid for three years and is designed to meet the varied needs of different organisations. The FAW course is a practical 18 hour course (over a minimum of 3 days) which follows the recommended syllabus by the HSE. It has a formal examination on practical elements of the course. Candidates are required to show competency in basic life support, care of an unconscious casualty and treatment of a wounded or injured conscious casualty.

NOTE: As an alternative to this course it is possible to attend the two day Outdoor First Aid course plus an additional half-day add-on. This will give you the Outdoor First Aid certificate and the First Aid at Work certificate. Please note the the Outdoor First Aid course takes place in the open air is aimed at people used to outdoor activity. Please contact us for further information.

Qualification Gained: First Aid at Work courses are certificated through either: First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) or by Qualification Network UK, an approved Ofqual awarding organisation.
