Pete Cunningham and Julie Bowlby - The principals of Adventure Learning

Pete Cunningham

I have been coaching and teaching for over 25 years. In the past, I have delivered REC (Rescue Emergency Care) and  ITC (ITC first aid)  courses but now deliver all courses through Active Aid. I am a Community First Responders with the North West Ambulance Service.   I also have a Certificate of Education and a Higher National Diploma in JNC Youth and Community Worker. I am a retired member (due to arthritis) of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors  and hold the Summer and Winter Mountain Leader Award, Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor – formerly Mountaineering Instructor Award (MIA) and the Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor – formerly Mountaineering Instructor Certificate (MIC)

In the past, I have been an active caver and a local cave leader as well as a BCU Level three Canoe Instructor and a Kayak Instructor. More recently I have completed my BASI Adaptive Ski instructor. When I am not working I can be found hanging out at ‘cloudbase’ on my paraglider or chilling with my family.
