Course Details

Delivery Method: Blended Learning. Online learning combined with attendance at a two day practical session.

Course Covers: This course involves the completion of an online 2-hour learning module followed by two X 7-hour practical days of training. (16-hour course)
Learners must complete the online module before attending the practical day(s).

The practical training course will develop participants confidence & skills for assessing & treating associated injuries & medical emergencies on water, rock & land necessary to stabilise a casualty until a rescue team arrive.

This course is suitable for participants requiring a First Aid at Work qualification. (on completion of a 6-hour online module)
It can also count towards 14 hours CPC professional Driver training hours.

Suitable For: Outdoor instructors and outdoor enthusiasts, Sports coaches. All NGB's, BCU, RYA, MTA, BASI etc Ideal for those working in forestry environments including forestry workers, arborists, vegetation clearance, tree planting & Forestry Commission work.

Requirements: None

Qualification Gained: Two-day (16-hour) Outdoor, Emergency First Aid at Work (+F) and Forest Schools certificates.

Minimum Age: 16

Fitness: This course is active and practical. To meet the certification requirements all learners must be assessed whilst performing practical elements of the course, some of which will require you to kneel on the floor. Please ensure that you can physically fulfil these practical requirements. Please wear suitable clothes, such as loose-fitting trousers, leggings, or jeans. We advise against wearing a skirt or anything short that may make you feel uncomfortable during practical assessments.
